Jaydi Bio:
Growing up in the South Bay with a seasoned musician father and an eccentric actress mother, Jaydi found a love for writing music at an early age. After being gifted her first laptop around 10, she began experimenting writing songs on Garageband. At 18 years old Jaydi took a trip to England to live with a now ex-boyfriend for 6 months. Without considering the fact that he had a 9 to 5 job, Jaydi found herself so bored in her ex’s house waiting for him to come home that she started producing entire songs on his iPad on Garageband. She quickly realized she seriously wanted to pursue producing music and booked a trip home early to Los Angeles to start building a home studio. Inspired by a wide range of pop music, her influences are Gwen Stefani, The Neighborhood, Ariana Grande, Amy Whinehouse, and The Weeknd. She produces all of her music in her bedroom in Studio City, California.
Recommended if you like: Gwen Stefani, The Neighborhood, Ariana Grande, Amy Winehouse, Billie Eilish, and The Weeknd.

Q & A with Jaydi
Q: Do you play all of the music/instruments yourself?
In a majority of my new work, which is electro-pop, I’m playing all of the instruments. As opposed to my earlier work in “Wasted” that was heavily based on live instrumentation. I’ve really enjoyed coming up with bass lines and drum patterns, and seeing just how much I can accomplish with my own creativity and resourcefulness.
Q: How long have you been working on "never be the same"?
A: I started working on “never be the same” and three other singles that will all be a part of a collection called “Nightmare” in April of 2020. I’ll be releasing them one single at a time.
Q: How do you feel about writing personal lyrics?
I feel like it’s the only way to truly write a song. It’s my opportunity to experiment with taking interesting concepts or experiences and wording them in a way thats clever, melodic and catchy. And I think it’s important to be completely honest in songwriting. The more honest I am about what i’ve been through, the better the chances are that someone else can relate and in return feel better about whatever they’re going through.
Q: What's one thing you are grateful for that came out of quarantine?
Without the time forced in quarantine and the unemployment, I wouldn’t have had the time or the resources to finish my new project “nightmare”. I spent a majority of quarantine writing, producing, and finishing all four songs and for that I’m extremely grateful. I also feel incredibly blessed and grateful that my family and myself have been safe and healthy all throughout this uncertain time. Although it was a trying year, a lot of amazing things have come out of it.
