“Wouldn’t It Be Nice?”
It took me 45 years to become obsessed with The Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds. Partly because I recently watched 2014’s Love and Mercy and it is a phenomenal film chronicling the life of Brian Wilson, with two actors playing the musical genius at two stages of his life. Paul Dano plays an uncanny younger Wilson and John Cusack as the older/middle-aged Wilson. The cast is outstanding, with Elizabeth Banks as his second wife Melinda Ledbetter, and a creepy Paul Giamatti as his abusive psychiatrist Dr. Eugene Landy. The movie is on Hulu, linked above and I can’t recommend it enough.
Wouldn’t it be nice…if cannabis were legal in all 50 states? Wouldn’t it be nice if we had more than 50 states? DC should be a state. Puerto Rico should be a state. Our territories…states.
