Good take on the subject. I guess the cynical part of me is wondering why Nic Pizzolatto isn't involved in this season, and if that has anything to do with the criticism. Still, to each their own. I'm enjoyyyyy-ing this season, especially Jodie Foster's "grown-up Clarice Starling" take on her character. And I get your comic book analogy. When you sign something that says other people are taking over your creation, that's the way it goes. Good on him for not cashing the checks. Can't say that I would be that noble.

I think with Nic it comes down to a contract thing, but you are the Hollywood expert. He may be over at FX doing some stuff that conflicts. Series creators tend to get an EP credit? Again, I'm no expert on the subject!

As you know, I am just one more movie away (Hannibal Rising) away from 'completing' my Lecter binge. But I had the distinct thought of Clarice on Episode 3 last night as well! "You still wake up sometimes, don't you?"

Also, a sidebar - I'm glad to see more representation of Native American actors lately getting some attention. Echo of course, and Killers of the Flower Moon was great. If you get a chance, you should be able to watch it on the Apple TV app!

I definitely liked the quid pro quo scene with Nevarro and Eddie. Classic Lechter. I don't pretend to know the ins and outs of Hollywood deal-making. I mean, Woody harrellson and Matthew McConaughey still get exec producer credit. It's all just words to get people money. I'm glad this season is a return to form.
